The Kinderfeets Kinderboard in Bamboo is a gorgeous addition to this award-winning product.
It’s 100% bamboo with absolutely no hidden veneer.
Dutch children have grown up with these fascinating boards for generations. More recently this multi-use toy was revived for use in Waldorf (Steiner) early childhood classrooms.
A Kinderboard helps children develop a sense of balance, stimulate their vestibular system, and gain a deeper awareness of their body and body parts. You can rock it. Balance on it. Push it. Spin it. Flip it and slide. Sit on it or use it like a foot stool. These sturdy boards keep energetic children engaged in creative play for hours. They’re now just as popular with Personal Trainers, Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapists.
Watch a child’s imagination take over when their Kinderboard arrives. It becomes a seesaw, a balance board, a slide, a step stool, a boat, a resting place, a doll bed, a puppet stage, a tunnel and many more opportunities for them to explore. The possibilities are endless and truly up to them!
Crafted from skillfully engineered FSC certified and sustainably sourced bamboo plywood that’s finished with a protective lacquer stain.
Made in an ethically run factory that Kinderfeets inspect and evaluate regularly. Tested and certified to European and Australian standards.
Supports up to 220 kgs Size:approx L 86cm x W 29.5cm x H 18.5cm
Kinderfeets Kinderboards have Australian Toy Safety Standard Certification. Notes from Shelley : We have used a similar board for both our children for a few years. It was recommended by an Occupational therapist to help with the following below and we use the board most days in some form or another. Apart from just being an open ended fun play item the Kinderboard will have the following added hidden benefits for children (especially those with sensory or special needs) : Helps Improve Mental Focus To balance properly, you must learn how to keep your center of gravity aligned over your base of support. Challenging your balance forces the left and right halves of your brain to communicate more, thus improving sensory integration and coordination. If you then move an arm or leg across the mid-line of your body while on the wobble board, you further challenge this neuromuscular communication. By doing slow, controlled balance exercises on boards, you will increase your self-awareness and help train the brain to focus on one thing at a time. Helps Improve Functional Strength These kind of boards help develop muscle tone and functional strength. Functional exercise help your muscles work better in everyday activities. Things like sitting on the mat during classtime , sitting and focusing in your chair at school etc . No individual muscle functions alone, so exercises should include a variety of movement patterns for the best results. Functional exercises done on a kinderboard challenge multiple muscles and joints to stabilize and adjust themselves. Because your core muscles contract whenever you are in an awkward or unstable position, just standing on a wobble board will develop core strength and improve lower body strength. you may need to supervise this at first with your children that have coordination or low muscle tone. Helps Improve Proprioception and Balance
Proprioception is your ability to sense your environment and adjust the positions of your body accordingly. It is what allows you to hit a tennis ball, hold a weight or stand on one foot, for example. Kids with special needs such as ADHD , Autism and more tend to need help developing and strengthening their balance and proprioception. This board allows them to work on this without realizing !!

Great for all children I bought this balance board for our special needs children, but all the children love it. It’s great for lying, sitting, standing and rocking for balance and gross motor skills. For general play, using the board as a bridge or tunnel, means it’s great for imaginative, creative play.
Kinderboard Relief Thankyou for a wonderful product. My 4 year old son is Autistic and i purchased a kinderboard for him to help with his sensory needs and i also thought that the rocking would soothe him in moments that he needs time to calm down. He loves the board and uses it in so many ways. Rocking both standing and lying, a bridge for trains and cars to go over and under, a see saw for my two little ones. The uses are endless for both his needs and for play. In fact all of my children use the board for a rocking board and bed.standing and rocking on the board is improving his proprioproception and helps him to work on his body in relation to the space around him.Even my 18month old stands on and starts to rock so i know that it will help her with her development in the future too.I highly recommend this product for any child.
