Wow! I Can Read Sight Words Flashcards

Research has shown that when children are learning to read it is important that they develop a bank of commonly used words which they can recognize instantly.  Knowing the most commonly used words by sight will make a child a faster and more fluent reader.  These words are known as "Sight Words" or 'High Frequency Words" .  They consist of approximately 200 words selected from, the spoken language.  They are best learnt through memorization and repetition.  

The clear illustrations in this pack will provide valuable picture clues for children who are learning to recognise common sight words.

Use together as a fast SNAP game or as a sorting and matching activity . Use as display cards for words you are concentrating on and more.
